Do you have the passion? Do you have the drive? Because being passionate is infectious. Passion has a key part in being a great leader. It meant, leading by example. If you want your people to share the same vision as you do and make that vision into a reality, show them how passionate you are in getting work done.
As a leader, you have to create a picture of your vision. As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Leadership entails creativity. Make sure that the key players who are involved clearly understand your vision. Make sure that you’re on the same page.
Another important thing to sustain your team’s passion is for a leader to have the quality of being a great decision maker. Your team should look up to you and be their source of power.
Ask yourself, what is your stand on great leadership? Remember that when you lead, you should speak about your vision. And when you speak about your vision, make your audience feel how passionate you are in wanting to fulfill that vision. Make your heart and soul speak and everything will follow.
As John C. Maxwell puts it, “a leader is someone who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. Ponder on this; are you this kind of leader?
